8. Skrillex
Skrillex is an American singer, songwriter, musician, music producer and DJ. His real name is Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988). Skrillex is praised for music videos and albums such as "First of the Year", "Bangarang" and "My Name is Skrillex". He joined American post-hardcore band From First to Last as lead singer in 2004, and recorded two studio albums with the band before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2007. In time with the rock band "From First to Last", which contributed significantly to the release of albums including "Heroine" and "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count".
As a teenager, Skrillex often attended punk concerts in Mexican-American locales in South and East Los Angeles and later went to clubs in downtown LA playing electronic music. He embarked on his first tour as a solo artist in late 2007. After recruiting a new band lineup, Moore joined the Alternative Press Tour supporting bands such as All Time Low and The Rocket Summer, and appeared on the cover of Alternative Press magazine's annual "100 Bands You Need to Know". During his career, Skrillex has won a total of eight Grammy Awards to date.
