4. Shanghai Pudong International Airport
The airport covers an area of 3,350 hectares. It is located in the eastern part of Pudong District (Shanghai, China). It replaced Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport in early October 1999. It is considered the only international airport in Shanghai. It is the main hub for Shanghai Airlines and China Eastern Airlines. It is considered the largest express delivery hub in Asia. In 2010, Shanghai Pudong International Airport was the third busiest airport in the world in terms of cargo throughput with 3,227,914 tons of cargo. As of December 2011, the airport had 87 airlines serving nearly 200 destinations. Pudong Airport is connected to the city's urban railway network. The airport is open 24 hours a day.
