7. Marshall Islands
The Marshall Islands have an area of 181.3 km2, however, this country stretches its territory over more than 1,150 islands in 29 different coral atolls. With its unique geographical location, Marshall becomes the country with the most sea-contact territory of all sovereign countries in the world. The estimated population of Marshall in 2019 is 59,003 people, the population density is 293 people / km2.
The people living in the Marshall Islands are mainly Marshallese, mainly living in small villages, densely concentrated along the long coastline. The area of the Marshall Islands is quite limited and all are fish and islands, so when tourists visit here, they choose the main means of transportation is by sailboat. Because all sides are adjacent to the sea, the economy of the Marshall Islands depends heavily on shipping, fishing and agriculture.
