4. Copa America
Copa America, also known as the South American Football Championship, is the oldest international football tournament in history and is organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL). The tournament was first held in 1916 and has since become the most important sporting event in South America, taking place every four years.
The Copa America includes national teams from the 10 CONMEBOL member countries: Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, and Venezuela. In addition, the tournament usually invites two teams from other confederations to participate to make up the required number of teams for a tournament. These guest teams are usually from North America or Asia, such as Mexico, the United States, Japan, and Qatar.
The Copa America is not only a tournament to determine the best team in South America, but also a place for big football stars like Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez, and many others to showcase their talents. It is also an opportunity for fans across the continent and around the world to witness a passionate and technical style of football.
