8. Tamu Massif
Unexpectedly, the world's largest volcano, Tamu Massif, is located deep beneath the Pacific Ocean. The newly discovered volcano is called Tamu Massif. Mauna Loa in Hawaii, USA, currently holds the record, but it surpasses it. The largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons on Mars, is just 25% larger than Tamu Massif, according to William Sager, a geologist from the University of Houston who led the study team.
