10. The Protector 2 - 2013
Tom Yum Goong 2, known in the US as The Protector 2, in the UK as Warrior King 2 and in Germany as Return of the Warrior. This is a 2013 Thai martial arts film directed by Prachya Pinkaew.
Kham (Tony Jaa) has returned to quiet village life with his elephant, Khon, back in Thailand. Job, a quirky person who likes to play with electrical appliances, has lived in the village for a while and has earned the trust of the locals. Unknown to Kham, he is an agent of an arms dealer known as Mr. LC (RZA). An admirer of Kham's exploits, LC had Job spy on Kham without his knowledge. Things change for Kham when a merchant, Suchart Vilawandei (Adinan Buntanaporn), wants to buy Khon, but Kham refuses to sell Khon. Suchart gave his business card to Kham in case he changed his mind.
While eating with the villagers, Kham felt something was wrong and returned home to find Job had been beaten and Khon had been taken away by Suchart. Using the business card Suchart gave him, Kham went to Suchart's house to find answers but only discovered that Suchart had been killed moments before. Suchart's two nieces, boxers Ping-ping (Yanin "Jeeja" Vismitananda) and Sue-sue (Theerada Kittiseriprasert) arrive and believe Kham is responsible. The two attack him, but he evades and escapes, the authorities are alerted and the police give chase.
While on the run from the law, Kham met Mark, who faked being assaulted and allowed Kham to escape. They then secretly meet to learn more about the situation. Mark himself is in Thailand working for Interpol investigating a recent terrorist plot related to the peace talks between East Katana and West Katana in Bangkok.
