10. BMW
BMW is a car brand from Germany, this car company was founded on March 7, 1961. The first BMW car was born in 1929. After a period of development, the car company ranked 3rd in the 10 most valuable car brands in the world. When mentioning BMW, people immediately think of the image of luxury cars, with not cheap prices and extremely stable and durable performance. According to the results of BrandZ Top 100, ranking the 100 most valuable brands in the world, conducted by market research company Millward Brown, BMW is a highly valuable brand in the car industry. However, this is not the first time BMW has taken the lead. BMW knows how to make customers see its difference from other brands, while still providing a traditional product. As a major global brand, BMW has been persistent in finding what makes a meaningful difference for the brand in competitive markets. BMW's chief financial officer expects the group's pure electric car sales to reach 400,000 next year amid continued rapid demand for electric vehicles and less strain on the supply chain. In a meeting earlier this week, BMW's leadership also acknowledged that 2022 was a turbulent year for the German automaker, but remained optimistic that things were gradually improving. BMW expects to continue to face similar pressures until the end of this year. However, from 2023, the German auto group believes it can achieve a new leap in pure electric car sales. After the first two months of the year, the number of pure electric cars sold by BMW reached 75,891, more than double the same period last year. The group expects electric car sales this year to reach 240,000 to 245,000, more than double the 104,000 in 2022, and account for 10% of the global electric car market share.
BMW even sets a further target, expecting pure electric car sales in 2023 to reach 400,000 units. BMW aims to bring electric car sales to 50% of the company's total sales by 2030. With a variety of upcoming EV products from member brands such as Rolls-Royce Spectre, BMW i5 or MINI Countryman, Electrek believes that the sales target of 400,000 electric cars that BMW Group set for 2023 is completely feasible.
